At New Belgium, one of the most rewarding ways to participate in decision-making is to join the Philanthropy Committee.
This cross-departmental group, open to all interested co-workers, researches, reviews and grants funding to many worthy organizations doing important work across our areas of distribution.
Since its inception, New Belgium Brewing Company has donated more than 2.5 million dollars through our Philanthropy program. In 2008, New Belgium will donate $475,000 to organizations in the communities where we do business. For every barrel of beer sold the prior year, New Belgium donates $1 to philanthropic causes within our distribution territory.
By combining our philanthropy, sponsorship and good will programs New Belgium became a member of 1% for the Planet in 2007. 1% for the Planet is a global network of environmentally philanthropic members with more than 800 companies and 1,500 non-profit organizations. Launched in 2001 by Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia, and Craig Matthews, owner of Blue Ribbon Flies of Bozeman, 1% members have donated more than $30 million dollars since its inception. onepercentfortheplanet.org.

If it’s not a grant you’re after, we might be able to provide a good will product donation. Check back in January for our new online Donation System.
Or, if you’re looking for sponsorship of an event, we do that too! Click here.
